    High-Availability Features

The Devil Framework Application Server was designed to accommodate the high-availability needs of today's process environments. There are several features built into the product that increase availability. They include:

    Data Loss Prevention

The Devil Framework Application Server has a Store and Forward capability such that, if for any reason a separate historian node were to fail or lose communications with the Devil Framework Application Server, historical data would be buffered locally in the Devil Framework Application Server until the historian server node goes back online.

    Load Balancing

The Devil Framework Application Server is a distributed system by design. Therefore, new nodes can be added at need to distribute the application processing load on multiple machines.

    Fault Tolerance

Thanks to its distributed system design, the Devil Framework Application Server has no single point of failure. Therfore, the absence or failure of any one node would not cause the entire application to fail.
